Description

On occasion, animals who are rescued need a safe place to quarantine before they can be introduced to a herd or flock.  Most often, these are healthy animals who simply need a place to isolate and someone to monitor and care for them.  Fosters are most often smaller animals such as birds or mini pigs, but horses are also a possibility.

Fosters will be required to complete a specific application, supply references and participate in an interview to make sure that all necessary accommodations are available and the foster has all of the information and equipment needed to ensure proper care.

This volunteer is responsible for picking up produce from local grocery stores that have been so kind as to donate to Indraloka. This job is needed Monday, Tuesday, and Saturday mornings and requires the volunteer to have a larger vehicle, such as an SUV or truck to carry large amounts of produce to the sanctuary. Produce is very important to the animals, and they are very thankful to anyone who is able to help them! This volunteer may also choose to sort the produce as well, but if all you can do is pick up, that is greatly appreciated!

This includes simple sorting of each fruit and vegetable into groups, sorting out the rotten produce, cutting up produce, and removing stickers. This volunteer also helps break down boxes and sort packaging for recycling. This volunteer may also pick up the produce from local grocery stores, but must sign up under that volunteer project as well.
